According to reports, Tamannah Bhaita was well aware of the her brief appearance in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has achieved an enviable feat amassing a staggering Rs1000 core at the box office worldwide. While the entire Baahubali team can be seen happily sharing the success and congratulating one another on social media, there’s only one whose silence is rather deafening.
Yes, you guessed it right – Tamannah Bhaita hasn’t tweeted about the success of Baahubali 2 as much. The industry is rife with rumors that she is upset with SS Rajamouli who has allegedly chopped off her scenes in the Baahubali prequel.
According to Times of India, director Rajamouli decided to remove a lot of scenes from the Baahubali 2 as he didn’t think the visual effects and CGI were up his expectations. Unfortunately, quite a few of those scenes were shot with Tamannah. As a result, the remaining scenes in the movie reduced her to role to extras.
While a report in Bollywood Life said, as per her contract, Tamannah was actually aware of the brief appearance in the movie, other reports indicate it wasn’t really the case.
The Times of India report mentioned Tamannah was actually pretty excited about her role in the prequel and she had even learned horse riding as per the demand of the movie.
However, her role was finally truncated to a few shots, as SS Rahamouli removed her scenes at the editing desk.
Reportedly, Tamannah Bhatia earned a remuneration of 5 crore for Bahubaali series.
It isn’t really clear if she is really gutted to find her role shortened in the prequel, but looking at the reports and her Twitter timeline, one can only assume she would be regretting not having a larger role in the conclusion which has earned runaway success at the box office, both in India and abroad.
